MAILBAG QUESTION:
Hey, finally someone else who doesn’t think scratchers are a waste of time. I tried to check the other day on a $1 scratcher I bought for the odds of winning, but there was nothing there. I looked on the back of the ticket and I couldn’t find anything.
Obviously, I lost that one since in $1 tickets you never win. But is it true that the higher the ticket price the higher the odds of winning? And I mean winning more than you paid. For example, if you bought a $20 scratcher ticket, what would be the chances of you winning more than 20 bucks? And what about the chances of winning big prizes, such as over $50?

MY ANSWER:
Hey Jarrod, I heard some countries (very few) do not show the odds of the game at the back of the scratcher ticket. But almost 99% of scratchers worldwide DO show the odds of the game.
So what you want to do is to look at the back of the scratcher ticket and then compare which scratch off game has the BEST ODDS of winning.nnThen, simply choose to play the scratcher game with the best odds of winning.
Secondly, yes you are right about the odds becoming better for MORE expensive games. This is true for 99% of scratchers. Generally, the more expensive the scratcher ticket, the BETTER the odds of winning and the BIGGER the prize it will be.
There was a study done I saw where people played the same amount of money for the $1, $2, $3, and $5 games. This guy spent like a 100 dollars for each of the games. It turned out, he made the MOST money in the $5 game.
As far as more winners (bigger than the value of the ticket), I have seen MORE winners that were HIGHER than the ticket cost in the $3 & $5 games (compared to the $1 & $2 games).
